Losing someone.

Enjoy the memory of their lives,
Enjoy what you shared with them,
Enjoy what you learned from them.

Live with them everyday.
As they live everyday with you.

It is hard to lose someone,
Especially if they were close to you in your life.

Many times, we view death as losing something that was part of your life,
We see it as never being able to interact with that person again.
Be it a family member, a friend, a colleague or a neighbour,
Death is viewed as a sad, negative feeling,
And it can be one of the hardest things to accept in life.

One may also view death in a different perspective,
View it not as a loss of something,
But as an experience you were able to share  with someone.

The memories you shared together,
The things that you learned from one another,
The path that you wandered alongside each other,
they are still a part of you,

Living with you day to day.

Without them, you would have been a different person,
They are just as much a part of you as you are a part of them,
They will always be a part of you for the rest of your life.

Deal with death however you see fit,
But never forget to bask in their memories,
And be grateful that you’ve had the opportunity to have known them.

Make them live again by sharing stories of them,
Have those stories carry on with others.
Even in death the stories you share of them may change other people for the better,
carry their torch with you at all times.
Pass on their memories as you see fit.

Live with them everyday.
As they live with you.
